The Museum is open every day except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and Good Friday.
Please note however that occasionally Cathedral events require the Museum to close. Please see the News page for closures, or phone in advance of your visit.
Getting here
By Train:
under 70 minutes by rail from London, and less
than 20 minutes from Cambridge.
By Car:
Ely is situated on the A10 north of Cambridge.
There is a large free car park within 300 yards of
the Cathedral.
Accessibility
Our Main Gallery is located on the upper level of the
Cathedral accessed by a stone spiral staircase (40 stairs). For those unable to access the museum a
touch screen virtual visit is available on the ground floor.
