Visiting us

Access

The Museum is located on the upper level of Ely Cathedral accessed by a short spiral staircase.

A touch-screen virtual museum visit is available through our interactive display on the ground floor. Please ask at the Cathedral front desk to use this and other accessibility facilities.

Audio Tour

An audio tour for the Main Gallery is available for hire from the Museum Shop.

Touch Panel

A stained glass touch panel is available in the Museum.

Library Access

By prior appointment, special arrangements may be made for individuals unable to access the Museum, to undertake library research on the ground floor of the Cathedral.

Toilets and Refreshments

Accessible toilets with baby changing facilities are located on the ground floor within the Cathedral for Museum visitors.

Accessible public toilets are located outside and around the Cathedral. Please see the Cathedral map.

Refreshments are avaliable on the ground floor in the Cathedral Refectory. There are a good selection of cafes and restaurants in the City Centre close to the Cathedral.

Parking

A drop-off area is located outside the front of the Cathedral. There are some spaces for disabled badge holders in High Street and Market Street. These can not be reserved and there are time limits on these spaces.

(from 28 October When Clocks go back, to Easter)

Last admissions are 30 minutes before closing

Great Days Out – PukkaStuff™

Calling all 6 to 18 year olds!! Take up healthy school lunches and be rewarded with points which you can spend on various rewards and offers on Great Days Out both locally and nationally. Keep your eyes open for PukkaStuff™ wrappers for points and information.

If you choose The Stained Glass Museum and have the right number of wrappers you can come in free when accompanying someone with a full-paying ticket.
