The Good Shepherd, installed 1867
Designed and made by C.E. Clutterbuck (1806-1861).
East window, Christ Church, Cotmanhay, Derbyshire.
In this window the figure in the landscape is combined with a more medieval framework of 13th-century type foliage. It is part of a three-light east window depicting a series of scenes of the life of Christ.
Clutterbuck began his career as a painter of miniatures. His stained glass was almost exclusively pictorial. Relatively little of his work survives, partly because his glass was often poorly fired. In 1853 he installed some early 16th_century panels from Rouen in the west window of Ely Cathedral.

Inv. No. 1987/2/1 Presented by the Derby Diocesan Advisory Committee.
