Blarer arms, 1549

Zurich.
The arms of Jacob Gaudenz Blarer of Wartensee
(Canton Zurich): shield surmounted by a helmet, an armed man to the left, the
group enclosed by an architectural canopy. Upper part: battle scene in a
landscape with a squadron of cavalry facing a body of men firing two
cannon. Inscription: Jacob Gaudenz Blarer of Wartensee 1549.
