The arms of Hens Heinrich von Schonau and Elizabeth Schmid from Zurich. The Von Schonaus were an ancient family from near Bodensee, owning much land around Zurich. Hans Heinrich became a city councillor in 1585 and held various important civic posts, culminating in the Governorship of Wadenswil in 1612.
