Christ in the Carpenter's Shop

Edward (Davie) Woore trained at the Central School of Arts and Crafts under Christopher Whitworth Whall (1849-1924), the leading figure in the English tradition of Arts and Crafts stained glass. It was in Whall's studio that he established lifelong friendships with Arnold Robinson and Karl Parsons. After Robinson purchased the Bristol firm of Joseph Bell and Son in 1923, Woore produced a number of works for him.
